* org-latex.el (org-export-latex-subcontent): Don't insert a
linebreak when itemizing a subtree that is just a headline.
Thanks to Richard Stanton for spotting this.
* org-latex.el (org-export-as-latex): Fix bug in setting the
export directory according to the LaTeX options.
Thanks to A. Major for reporting this and to Christian Moe for suggesting a
fix.
This fixes a wrong merge that should not have happened:
commit 7e903a merges the master branch into the maint branch,
while we really want to keep the maint branch a bugfix-only
branch.
This commit reverts back the maint branch to its state before
merging the master branch. From there, we will fix remaining
problems with the maint branch (e.g. copyright issues) then
release this maint branch as Org-mode 7.8.05.
Rename `org-on-heading-p' and `org-on-target-p' to
`org-at-heading-p' and `org-at-target-p' to be more
consistent with the org-at-*-p family.
Also define two aliases.
* lisp/org-latex.el (org-export-as-latex): Turn off auto-insert and
set TeX-master to t when creating new TeX buffers.
* lisp/org-docbook.el (org-export-as-docbook):
* lisp/org-html.el (org-export-as-html): Turn off auto-insert
when creating new buffers.
Additionally, replace one
(or (org-mode-p) (derived-mode-p 'org-mode))
with
(derived-mode-p 'org-mode)
cause that is reflexive anyway (returns true, if the current mode is
org-mode).
Delete one check testing for org-mode or org derived mode
* lisp/org-latex.el (org-export-latex-tables): Honor
`org-export-latex-table-caption-above'
(org-export-latex-table-caption-above): New option.
Patch by Thomas Dye.
Also remove blank lines before the ";;; org*el ends here" declarations.
Having a "Version" header forced us to update every file when releasing a
new version of Org; it also forced us to update every file when merging Org
with Emacs trunk, thus cluttering the diffs between the previously merged
version and the new one with useless information.
Glenn Morris suggested this in emacs-devel:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2011-08/msg00322.html
* org-latex.el (org-export-latex-fixed-width): Only add one
line break after exporting verbatim environments.
Thanks to Maik Beckmann for reporting this.
This is useful when you want to use \url{link} instead of the default
\href{link}{path}.
Thanks to Henri-Paul Indiogine for bringing this up.
* org-latex.el (org-export-latex-href-format): docstring fix
to reflect the fact that you can use only one "%s".
(org-export-latex-links): allow `org-export-latex-href-format'
to have only one "%s".
* lisp/org-latex.el (org-export-latex-preprocess): first insert
footnotes in the temporary buffer so their contents can properly be
protected from further transformations if required.
* lisp/org-latex.el (org-export-latex-list-parameters): complete
default value with cbtrans option.
* lisp/org-list.el (org-list-to-latex): set a more consistent default
value.
* org-latex.el (org-export-latex-quotes): New defcustom.
(org-export-latex-quotation-marks): Use it.
This allows users to define what quotes they want to use as a
replacement of english double-quotes while exporting to LaTeX.
In particular, if you use the csquote package, you can configure
Org to output something like \endquote{some quoted text} instead
of "some quoted text".
Thanks to Frederik for bringing this issue up, and to Thomas S.
Dye, Nick Dokos and Stefan Nobis for elaborating this solution.
* org-latex.el (org-export-latex-preprocess): Use function argument
instead of dynamically scoped symbol.
Export options are passed to org-export-preprocess-string which passes
them down to backend specific preprocessor. The :footnotes option is
included.

Interactive-p is an obsolete function as of Emacs 23.2.
`org-called-interactively-p' takes care of the current (x)Emacs
version and use either `interactive-p' (for XEmacs and Emacs<23.2)
or `called-interactively-p'.
* lisp/org-latex.el (org-export-latex-preprocess): rely on
`org-export-footnotes-markers' to retreive definition of the current
footnote during export.
* lisp/org-footnote.el (org-footnote-normalize): add `org-footnote'
property to footnote markers when preparing for exportation.
* lisp/org-html.el (org-export-as-html): read new property to decide
when to export a footnote.
* lisp/org-docbook.el (org-export-as-docbook): read new property to
decide when to export a footnote.
* lisp/org-latex.el (org-export-latex-preprocess): ensure footnote at
column 0 cannot end a list containing it by adding
`original-indentation' property to it.
* lisp/org-exp (org-export-preprocess-string): normalize footnotes
before marking lists ending.
* lisp/org-latex.el (org-export-latex-preprocess): work with labels as
strings and not as numbers.
